SUMMARY

A first-year civil engineering student looking for work experience to help make a positive impact on society and the environment. As humanity faces a growing global environmental crisis, I believe that becoming a civil engineer is one of the biggest ways I could help reduce humanity’s environmental impact while having a lasting positive impact on the community.

This website is a compilation of the coursework, projects, classes, and work experience I have had so far.

Effects of Water/Cement Ratio on the Compressive and Tensile Strength of Concrete Coursework

Conducted slump and compaction index tests on fresh concrete in line with BSI (British Standards Institution) Testing Standards such as BS EN 12350-2:2009 and BS EN 12350-4:2019. Created a lab report on how the water/cement ratio can affect the compressive and tensile strength of cured concrete by conducting tests in line with BS EN 12390-3:2019.

WORK EXPERIENCE

Administrative Assistant

September 2022 - August 2023

Bigbang Grill Unlimited BBQ & Sushi

Assist in creating, organising, and managing digital records for recording sales data, ingredient inventory and employee payroll using tools such as Microsoft Office Word and Excel.

Analysing sales data to figure out what dishes weren’t performing well, or which ingredients were too costly at the time and suggesting changes to the menu.

Monitoring and replenishing stocks and coordinating with co-workers to make sure everyone works effectively with each other.

Tasked with the procurement, loading, and unloading deliveries of fresh ingredients from the local market to the restaurant using a company car.

In addition to my main roles I also worked as a waiter or cashier on days when the restaurant was particularly busy or when an employee got sick and I had to substitute for them.
